In March, we posted about the squad announcement for the upcoming tour. Now the tour is over but did you miss the action? Here is a roundup of everything that happened down under.
T20 Games (26th-30th March):
The first T20 was played on Wednesday 26th March and opened the international series at Hurstville Oval in Sydney. The England side played impressively, winning by three wickets. Australia started, playing all 20 overs and putting 117 runs on the board with 6 wickets to their name. England came out only playing just over 19 overs before coming over the run tally and winning with 119 runs and 7 wickets. Lauren Cheatle, Tess Flintoff and Heather Graham all did well for Australia, performing 4 full overs and having 2 wickets each. Paige Scholfield was a stand out performer for England after 36 runs from 29 balls including 1 six and 4 fours.
2 days later on Friday, England opened up the test scoring 88 runs and 4 wickets before there being no result and Australia not batting. The third match at the same ground was abandoned without having a ball being bowled and therefore England won the T20 section after the other two games not being finished.
One Day International - 50 Over (2nd-7th April):
In the first one day international between the two sides on Wednesday 2nd April, Australia won at the Cricket Central in Sydney by 5 wickets. Australia continued to dominate in the one day international series as the two sides returned to the same venue on Friday. They won the day by 125 runs as England only managed 136 runs with all their players out compared to Australia's 261 runs and 8 wickets. Australia won the toss and decided to bat first with Tahlia Wilson starting off the batting facing 82 balls, getting 68 runs including 5 fours. She was the stand out player for Australia before being caught out by Grace Scrivens.
England managed to claw it back in the final one day international on the following Monday as they won by one wicket with 199/9 compared to Australias 195. Australia chose to bat first after winning the toss but got 195 runs on the board before Nicola Hancock had no remaining partner to play the game. England took this to their advantage with Paige Scholfield being their main player facing 102 balls and put 83 extra runs on their sheet including 9 fours.

4-Day Match (12th-15th April):
Australia won the final series as they played at the Cricket Central in Sydney winning the event by 25 runs. In the 1st Innings, England won with 407 runs compared to Australia's 343 despite Australia choosing to bat first. They won overall after England got 264 runs in the second innings compared to Australia's 353 runs and 6 wickets.
