The Nations league group A3 promises to be an exciting contest with England, Spain, Portugal and Belgium all in the group.

England:

The Lionesses are still a top contender after winning the Euros in 2022, especially with their rising stars that are coming through the England set up. Aggie Beever- Jones, who has made an impact in Chelsea’s first team is one to watch!

Another one to watch is Grace Clinton who made her mark in the WSL whilst on loan at tottenham last season and is now a frequent starter for Manchester United.

However, England has had some inconsistency in recent performances such as when they drew 0-0 against the USA at Wembley. Despite this, they are still a dangerous side in any competition. England and Spain are playing against each other in February and it will most definitely be a game to watch.

Spain:

As the current World Cup champions, Spain are entering the group as one of the favourites. With the likes of Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas in the squad, the team is full of experience and skill.

Their recent 4-2 victory over France in December shows that they remain a dominant team and are a force to be reckoned with!

They also have a bright future ahead with many young talents emerging such as Laia Codina who plays for Arsenal and Vicky Lopez who is breaking into Barcelona's first team.

Portugal:

Portugal may be seen as the underdogs of the group but they definitely shouldn’t be underestimated. During their most recent game in December they beat the Czech Republic 2-1 (3-2 aggregate.) This resulted in the team securing their place in the upcoming Euros.

A player to watch is Jessica Silva who is a fan favourite across the globe! She currently plays for Gotham FC and is known for her speed and goal scoring abilities! She is an experienced player who has played at clubs such as Lyon and Levante.

Belgium:

Belgium are currently ranked 19th in the FIFA standings but still show potential. Even though they may not be a fan favourite, their experience gives them the ability to surprise.

Janice Cayman is the most capped player of all time for the national team where she has 155 caps. She also currently plays for Women's Super League side Leicester city.

Belgium qualified for the 2025 Euros during the play offs and will be looking to make their mark in the competition.

Overall, group A3 is one to watch and is bound to bring a lot to the table!
