The UEFA Women’s Nations League kicks off again in the next international break as several teams battle it out to win the trophy. Last year, Spain won 2-0 against France in the first Women’s Nations League final in Seville.

Who is in the group:

This year in the group, Denmark, Italy, Sweden and Cymru will all face each other in February, April, May and June (the next three international camps).

The sides all play each other twice (once home and once away) with times and days subject to change.

Cymru:

In the first camp, The Dragons will travel to Italy and host Sweden in Gameweek one and two. The trip to Italy is on the 21st February meanwhile the match against Sweden is on the 25th February.

In the next international break after, Cymru host Denmark and then travel to Sweden on the 4th and 8th of April respectively.

Finally, in the final international break, the girls travel to Denmark and host Italy in the final Gameweek. These fixtures are on 30th May and 3rd June, but still have time to change.

A player to watch for the girls in red and white would be Hannah Cain from Leicester City. She recently recovered from an ACL injury and helped Cymru reach the Euros this year. Therefore the forward would be a player to watch throughout the Gameweeks.

Denmark:

In the first international camp, Denmark will travel to Italy and host Sweden at their place, with games pencilled in on the 21st and 25th of February.

For Gameweek three and four, they travel to Cymru on the 4th April before welcoming Italy four days later on the 8th April.

Finally, Denmark are the hosts for their Wales game with their away trip to Sweden being their final game.

A player to watch for Denmark would be Bayern Munich forward Pernille Harder. The Denmark captain had been vital for all her clubs, including Women's Super League champions Chelsea.

She continues to be a pivotal player for both sides and her international club could rely on her during the Nation’s League.

Italy:

In Gameweek one and two, Italy will host both Cymru and Denmark on the 21st and 25th of February.

In the second international break, the national team travels to Scandinavia as in the space of four days, they play Sweden and Denmark respectively.

Finally to end the Nation’s League, the girls host Sweden and then travel to Cymru in the final match.

A player to watch for the Italian side would be Lazio striker Martina Piemonte. The striker would be familiar for many readers after playing at Everton in the WSL last season.

She also is a permanent inclusion for Le Azzurre after having featured for over ten years in the side.

Sweden:

A Scandinavian derby is the first game as they travel to Denmark on the 21st February, meanwhile a trip to Cymru will round out the first international break when they face them on 25th February.

They will then host two games back to back as Italy and Cymru travel to Sweden on the 4th and 8th of April respectively.

Finally rounding off the group, they travel to Italy and then host Denmark in the second Scandinavian derby.

A player to watch from the Swedish side would be forward Stina Blackstenius. The Arsenal superstar is a player to watch as she continues to perform across both her international team and her club side.

Both teams are always looking for people to score goals and to help them win games.
